In honor of World Voice Day 2009, MusiCares, along with the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and KayPentax, is co-sponsoring a day of free voice screenings for New York-based professional vocalists. The event will take place on April 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmarys Voice and Swallowing Institute. The screenings will be provided free of charge and are needs-based. Each eligible singer will receive a complete vocal assessment, including assessment by a laryngologist, a stroboscopic exam of the vocal folds, and vocal function testing.
